In the framework of the "French Tech Paris Festival", the City of Issy-les-Moulineaux (Paris, France) organises a conference on Smart Mobility.

The goal of the Conference is sharing experiences around transports at urban level through the implementation of Digital innovations, from Smartphones to Big Data through Multimodal behaviours.

It will also be the occasion to showcase the first results of the So Mobility project.

Event details

As part of the Paris French Tech Festival (Festival Futur en Seine), the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux is organizing, in collaboration with Cap Digital and ATEC ITS France, a one-day event for discussions and study on how digital technologies can ease and improve urban traveling. The event aims at bringing an operational and pragmatic vision of the Smart City by answering to several questions: are daily life issues possible to be solved thanks to this new concept bringing collective intelligence at the service of the City? Among these issues, is it possible to spend less time using transports or stuck in traffic congestion?

The conference will be structured in several strong times of debates with roundtables on  : the impact of Big Data in reducing traffic congestion, the use of Smartphone to facilitate parking, myths and facts on multimodal information and urban travels in the City of the future. A press situation will also be organized to allow So Mobility project’s consortium leaders (City of Issy-les-Moulineaux, Cisco, Bouyges Immobilier, Colas, Engie, Transdev and Caisse des depots) to present the first results of this Open Innovation project set up to renew urban travels in the era of Smart City. The day will end with startups pitching on the several initiatives launched in terms of digital mobility.

According to the ATEC, smart mobility is a sector with a considerable potential in employment, innovation and enterprises development, mainly startups. In France, the sector already represents a annual turnover of 4.5 billion €,  45.000 direct jobs in the private sector and a thousand of companies.  It also represents hundreds of thousands of indirect jobs in tradition sectors as transport infrastructure building and operating, car manufacturing or logistics as they tend to use and deploy every day more smart mobility solutions.
