Our conference this year - 'Kindness Can: A Positive Future for Loneliness' marks a crucial moment in our ambition to end loneliness, and will bring together the brightest minds and best ideas from all over the country.

At the Conference we will:

  • Launch a kindness movement, inspiring the nation to tackle loneliness
  • Host innovative performances exploring loneliness through the arts
  • Hear exciting keynote speakers explore loneliness and kindness
  • Host a debate on loneliness and leadership
Deborah Moggach, best-selling author of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, is our first keynote speaker. We also have Ann Jones, Vice Chair of the Women's Institute, discussing taking public action on loneliness, as well as a Q&A session with award-winning director of The Age of Loneliness, Sue Bourne. Plus R-Quintessential, an older dance troupe from the Rambert Dance Company will be performing.
