Basketball Clinic - Girls Grades 5 - 8
Fri June 17, 2016, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
The Harker School will host a special two-hour basketball clinic for girls in grades 5-8, led by basketball veteran, Tomas Thompson. Held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the school’s middle school campus. Participants will be grouped by grade level to develop key basketballs skills, including shooting, dribbling, passing and defense. The clinic is open to the public and preregistration is required.

Thompson, who is currently Harker’s girls varsity basketball coach, is a basketball veteran. As a player he averaged 25 points a game his senior year at Soquel High finishing his career with 1,948 points- 4th All- Time scoring leader in CCS history. At University of San Francisco he set a Division 1 record, making eight consecutive 3- point shots in one game. Thompson has also been the coach for the Amateur Athletic Union for five years and currently coaches the Willow Glen Thunder, a top-ranked National Junior Basketball league team in California
